Jan Logan
I started doing upholstery work in 1980 at Prim Trim Upholstery, cleaning up just to pay my way through college. This is where I found out that I loved working with my hands. It was here that I decided to become a professional for the trade. It took many years to learn just the basics. I wanted to become the best in the field. I did realize that I would be learning the rest of my life. In 1986 I went to work for Hattie at Hattie’s Upholstery. I was her very first employee. Together she and I went from splitting a job between the two of us, so we could just eat, to the biggest shop in Tallahassee. It was somewhere in those years with Hattie that I became that professional I always wanted to be. My dream now is to teach the trade of upholstery. I spent almost a lifetime learning and I want to pass it on. In 2003 my brother (Angielo) and my sister (V’Lisa) opened Cover Time Upholstery, Inc. Guess what! Angielo Logan was trained in the trade of upholstery by Lively Vocational School. His training began in 1982 and was completed in 1984, however he still continues to learn new techniques to keep up with the ever-changing trends of today. Angielo has a love for the trade and enjoy working with people, that keeps him motivated and inspires him to take tasks that others may not attempt. He is well versed in both upholstery and repair. Having worked in upholstery for over 22 years, Angielo has worked with 2 other well known upholstery shops in town (Tops of Tallahassee and Bob’s Upholstery) prior to opening Cover Time Upholstery, Inc.
